the good old tongkangs...
here are the river cruise boats that could be found at the singapore river.
these boats are mainly "re.conditioned" old boats called "Tongkangs" which once were a common sight
in the early days of growing singapore.  the singapore river banks used to be lined with warehouses
and go down where loads of goods were transported to and from by means of the
river water connection.
